BODGEr the BADGEr
Who are you?
Hi, I’m BODGEr, as you can see I’m a BADGEr.
Ok…?
I like to build electronics, but sometimes I get things wrong. That’s why I’m called BODGEr…it means to fix something in a crazy way!
Instructions
- Solder the 555 timer (U1) and the capacitor (C1) making sure they are orientated correctly.
- Solder the resistors (R1, R2, R3).
- Solder the LEDs (D1, D2), but do them upside down, so the light will shine through the eye holes. The marking on the LED goes towards the top.
- Solder the switch, there are pegs under it which fit in the holes on the PCB. Make sure you solder all 7 legs of the switch to keep it secure.
- Solder the battery holder, make sure it’s orientated the right way. It’s best if you put some solder on each of the outer pads first.
- Finally, if you want to wear it as a badge, solder the included brooch pin to the rectangle pad at the top. Again, it’s best if you add some solder to the pad first.
